The Daily Collegian | Reporter & Page Designer

Logo of The Daily Collegian with the tagline "For the students. For the glory. Since 1887."

I began writing for The Daily Collegian as soon as I arrived at Penn State, starting as a news candidate my first semester.

I spent my second semester on the news staff, reporting on general news with a focus on THON & Greek life. I wrote live coverage at THON, resulting in three published articles. In association with the Penn State Student Media Network, I chronicled the history of hazing at Penn State as a part of the 2025 Enterprise Reporting Project.

As a sophomore, I transitioned to working on the sports staff as a women’s soccer beat reporter. I provided game coverage, supported by interviews with the coaches and players at home games. I also produced weekly recaps, previews, feature stories, updates, and budgeted content.

I’m currently in my second semester of working on the page design staff. We meet every Wednesday night, where I create a page of the Collegian’s print edition for publication on Friday.
